VOLLEYBALL (Teams of 6, Pool play → Championship Bracket, Game to 21)

Team Composition

  • Each team consists of 6 players.
  • A maximum of 3 men may be on the court at one time.
  • Teams may have additional players on their roster.

Tournament Format

  • Teams will be divided into pools, and each team will play all other teams in its pool. Pool sizes may vary depending on the number of teams registered.
  • Teams will be seeded based on pool play results and advance to the championship or consolation bracket.
  • Matches will consist of one game to 21 points.
  • Games must be won by 2 points.
  • A cap of 25 points will apply. The first team to 25 wins regardless of margin.
  • Teams will switch sides when one team reaches 11 points.
  • The championship match will be best 2 of 3 games.

Gameplay Rules

  • Standard recreational volleyball rules will apply unless otherwise noted on this page.
BAGS (Teams of 2, Double Elimination, First to 21)

Team Composition

  • Each team consists of 2 players.

Tournament Format

  • Tournament play will follow a double elimination format.
  • Teams are eliminated after two losses.
  • The first team to 21 points wins the match and advances.

Gameplay Rules

  • A bag on the board scores 1 point.
  • A bag through the hole scores 3 points.
  • Cancellation scoring will be used. Each team’s points for the round cancel one another, and only the difference is awarded.
  • Example: Red Team scores 6 points during the round while Black Team scores 3 points. Red Team earns 3 points for the round.
  • Bags must land and remain on the board without touching the ground, or pass through the hole, to score.
  • Knocking an opponent’s bag off the board is allowed.
  • A bag that touches the ground before landing on the board does not count and will be removed before the next throw.
  • Participants must be current CRAAR members or Affiliates in good standing.
  • Team captains are responsible for registration, payment, and communicating event information with their team.
  • Substitutions are permitted through the day of the event.
  • All participants must sign a waiver before competing.
  • All events are self-officiated. If teams cannot resolve a dispute, Sandlot Sports CR staff will make the final ruling.
  • The Scholarship Committee reserves the right to modify schedules, formats, or events due to weather or participation levels.

Only the team captain/person paying for registration fees via their CRAAR bill will need to complete this form.
Registration is required for each of these events. Day of/walk-in registrations will not be accepted.
